The slab above the fountain of Sahyadri Guest House in Mumbai suddenly collapsed. In this accident, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s son and Environment Minister Aditya Thackeray narrowly survived. Aditya Thackeray was holding a meeting inside and the slab fell outside. A large chandelier also fell along with the slab. Everyone is safe in this sudden accident, but there was a lot of panic due to the falling of the slab.
The accident took place outside Hall No 4 of Sahyadri Guest House. Environment Minister Aditya Thackeray was meeting at Sahyadri Guest House at 5.45 pm today (Friday). Meanwhile, just outside the room where the meeting was going on, the slab from which a large chandelier was hanging suddenly fell down taking the chandelier along with it. No one was injured in this accident.
Aditya Thackeray was discussing measures related to Corona
State Environment Minister Aaditya Thackeray was taking stock of the work of his department by holding meetings on different topics and discussing the situation of Corona in the state and measures related to a possible third wave. Environment department officials were present in the meeting with Aditya Thackeray. The meeting was going on when the slab made of POP fell down with the hanging chandelier.
Shiv Sena leader tweeted and demanded investigation
The collapsed structure was constructed 25 years ago. A structural audit of this building has also been done. The officials have said to respond only after the report comes. But in the meantime the repair work has been started immediately. Shiv Sena leader Neelam Gore has tweeted about this incident. He has tweeted and demanded a probe into the incident and the construction of the building.
He has written that this is a very shocking incident for Maharashtra. It is a good thing that Aaditya Thackeray and all the employees and officers along with him are safe. More incident of this building should be investigated.
