Imran Khan
Pakistan's jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday wrote a letter to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), demanding at least 30 percent approval from the national and provincial assemblies before considering any further bailout talks with the cash-strapped country. It was requested to ensure audit of seats.
Khan, 71, founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, had announced last week that he would ask the global lender to refrain from giving any aid as authorities rigged the election results to keep his party out of power. I have been rigged.
Recognition of the letter from the party
His party president-designate Gauhar Ali Khan, while addressing a press conference along with party general secretary Omar Ayub Khan, confirmed the letter but refused to share its contents. A party spokesperson also said that the letter would not be shared with the media until it was validated by the party.

Some conditions with help
However, a letter addressed to IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva by party spokesperson Rauf Hasan under the guidance of Imran Khan has been seen. The letter begins with the clarification that the party is not against IMF facilities to Pakistan. It has been written in the letter that PTI party does not want to put any obstacle in the way of assistance given by IMF to Pakistan but some conditions should be attached with its assistance.
