India to export advanced light helicopters to Mauritius
On the other hand, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has signed a contract with the Government of Mauritius for the export of an Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH Mk-3) as part of the Union Government’s vision to boost defense exports to friendly countries. This helicopter will be used by Mauritius Police. The Mauritius government is already using HAL manufactured ALH and Darnier-228 aircraft. HAL has said in a statement that with this contract for the supply of one ALH Mk-3 helicopter, the Mauritius government will further strengthen the business relationship that has been going on for three decades. The contract has been signed between HAL and senior officials of the Government of Mauritius at the Transport Aircraft Division of the Kanpur-based company.
