38 doctors joined ITBP after completing training
38 doctors, who served at a special COVID-19 hospital in Delhi during the coronavirus pandemic, joined the ITBP after a formal passing out parade on Saturday. These are the same doctors who were engaged in treating people during the Corona epidemic, when the country needed them in the middle of training. Now he has completed his training and has become a part of ITBP. ITBP handles the security arrangements on the India-China border.
ITBP spokesperson said that these doctors are being inducted into ITBP only after completing 24 weeks of complete combat training. He told that these doctors were recruited in the rank of Assistant Commandant and they will now serve in ITBP as Medical Officers. ITBP Director General Sanjay Arora took the salute of the passing out parade of these officers at the Officers Training Academy of the paramilitary forces. These doctors also include 14 women officers. During the training, these doctors were told about many subjects including strategy, weapon management, intelligence gathering, field engineering, map reading and human rights.
When the country needed it, then left the training in the middle and did the duty
ITBP spokesperson said that these doctors had provided their services at Delhi’s Sardar Patel COVID Care Center when the need arose during the coronavirus pandemic. He told that till this time these doctors had not even completed their training, but went ahead and provided services at the time of need. He further said that these doctors worked tirelessly in those difficult times. He told that when the country was in the grip of first and second wave of corona, then these doctors treated 13 thousand people infected with coronavirus.
After completing this work, these doctor officers returned to the academy in July and completed their training. An ITBP spokesperson said, “For this outstanding service, the trainee officers were awarded the Director General’s Commendation and Insignia, which is usually awarded after several years of distinguished service.
