Police said that two people have also been arrested. A Panchayat Samiti member is also among those arrested.
Weeds in the village on Diwali
It is being told that this incident has happened in South Telhua village of Nautan police station area. Before Diwali, there has been an uproar after the death of 8-8 people here. Those who died are from ward number 2, 3 and 4. According to the villagers, the people of a locality drank alcohol late on Wednesday evening. Shortly after people started drinking alcohol, their health started deteriorating. After which all the people were hurriedly admitted to the nearest hospital. After that there was a stir due to the deaths of people one after the other.
It is being told that a total of eight people have died so far. The deceased have been identified as Bachha Yadav, Maharaj Yadav, Hanumant Singh, Mukesh Paswan, Jawahar Sahni, Uma Sah, Ramesh Sahni and Ram Prakash Ram. After this, many people are seriously ill. Bettiah SP Upendranath Verma said that he himself is looking into the matter. And the guilty will not be spared.
Eight people also died in Gopalganj
Earlier, six people died under suspicious circumstances in Mahmadpur village and Bucheya and Lohajira under Mahmadpur police station of Gopalganj on Wednesday. Four people are seriously ill here. It is being told that he has lost his eyesight. According to family members and villagers, the death was due to drinking spurious liquor. At the same time, the Gopalganj district administration is talking about the death of 4 people. Bihar government minister Janak Ram has said that eight people have died due to drinking spurious liquor.
