To ensure the victory of candidates in the Rajya Sabha elections in Haryana, Rajasthan and Maharashtra, Sonia Gandhi has appointed Bhupesh Baghel, Rajiv Shukla, TS Singhdeo, Pawan Kumar Bansal and Mallikarjun Kharge as observers.
Upper House of Parliament i.e. Rajya Sabha (Rajya Sabha Elections) Congress for election in (Congress) has appointed observers in three states of Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Haryana. Congress President Sonia Gandhi (Sonia Gandhi) Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Rajya Sabha MP Rajeev Shukla have been appointed Haryana, Chhattisgarh Health Minister TS Singhdeo, former Union Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal, Rajasthan and senior leader Mallikarjun Kharge as observers of Maharashtra. Voting for 16 seats in the Rajya Sabha is to be held on June 10.

In Rajasthan, the BJP has endorsed Subhash Chandra as its second candidate for the Rajya Sabha seat, raising concerns of the Congress. The Congress is feeling the pressure of fielding Chandra as the fifth candidate. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot himself is monitoring this move of the party, to ensure that everyone remains honest to the party. The BJP has 71 MLAs in the 200-member Rajasthan Assembly and needs around 11 more votes to win two seats. At the same time, there are 13 independent candidates in the assembly, who are supporting the Congress government.
Congress upset due to rift between Kuldeep Bishnoi and Hooda in Haryana!
In Haryana, there is a rift between former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and angry Congress MLA Kuldeep Vishnoi, due to which the party may have to bear the brunt. It is a matter of concern for the Congress because a candidate needs 31 votes to go to the Rajya Sabha from the state and the Congress has only 31 MLAs. The victory of the BJP candidate in a Rajya Sabha seat in Haryana is certain. In the second seat, Ajay Maken of Congress is pitted against independent Karthikeya Sharma, who has the support of JJP and BJP. Vishnoi has kept suspense regarding his vote.
What is the status of Maharashtra?
In Maharashtra, BJP has fielded Union ministers Piyush Goyal, Anil Bonde and former MP Dhananjay Mahadik, while Shiv Sena has fielded Sanjay Raut and Sanjay Pawar. NCP has given ticket to Praful Patel, while Congress has fielded Imran Pratapgarhi. The contest on the sixth seat is between Mahadik of BJP and Sanjay Pawar of Shiv Sena.
