Presidential Elections 2022: Under the chairmanship of JP Nadda, BJP will hold the first meeting of the coordination committee today. In this, the preparations for the upcoming presidential election will be discussed.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday held its first Coordination Committee (Coordination Committee) in the capital Delhi.BJP Coordination Committee) meeting, in which a detailed discussion will be held regarding the presidential election to be held on July 18. The BJP has formed a 14-member team (management team) for better coordination between all the state units and allies of the party in the presidential election. Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has been appointed as the convener of this team. According to a notice issued by the party, BJP general secretary Vinod Tawde and CT Ravi will play the role of co-convener in this party. Another general secretary of the party, Tarun Chugh, is also among the members of the party. Among the Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy, Ashwini Vaishnav, Sarbananda Sonowal, Arjun Meghwal and Bharti Pawar have been included in this team as members.
The team will coordinate with the parties
Other members include BJP national vice president D.K. Aruna, national secretary Rituraj Sinha, party’s Mahila Morcha president Vanathi Srinivasan, national spokesperson Sambit Patra and MP and party’s Assam unit vice president Rajdeep Roy. According to the information, this party will coordinate with all the state units and allies of the party in the presidential election. Along with this, he will make his voters (members of the electoral college) aware of the specifics of the voting process.
Rajnath and Nadda have been in touch with allies as well as some prominent opposition leaders and leaders of some non-NDA and non-UPA parties as part of efforts to reach a consensus on the name of the candidate for the presidential election. Nadda held talks with National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah and leaders of National People’s Party (NPP), Naga People’s Front (NPF), All Jharkhand Students’ Union (AJSU). Let us tell you that the term of the current President Ram Nath Kovind ends on July 24 and the election for his successor is to be held on July 18. The process of filling nomination papers for the Presidential election is underway.
The opposition parties will field a common candidate from their side. After which the 16th President of the country will be selected in this election. Counting of votes cast for the presidential election will take place on July 21. Scrutiny of nomination papers is appreciated on 30th June. And the praise of taking them back is July 2. Talking about President Ram Nath Kovind, he is serving as the 14th President of the country since July 25, 2017 and his term ends on July 24, 2022.
