CIC to Election Commission: CIC has directed the Election Commission to file an affidavit. In which the applicant has been asked to give all the available information.
The Central Information Commission (CIC) has appointed the Election Commission (Election Commission) to file an affidavit stating that he has made available to an RTI (right to information) applicant all the information regarding amendments to the Electoral Bonds and Finance Act. CIC (Central Information Commission) has said that the Election Commission should also make it clear on a non-judicial stamp paper that it has not suppressed any other information which can be provided under the RTI Act.
RTI activist Commodore (Retd) Lokesh Batra had asked the Election Commission for complete records related to the introduction of electoral bonds after the 2017 amendment to the Finance Act. Affidavit to be submitted in three weeks
