The government of CM Hemant Soren has ordered that the government schools in the state should be painted white and green. Let us tell here that the color of the flag of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha party is also green and white.
With the change of power in any state, the public institutions also seem to be getting the color of the government. If we talk about Uttar Pradesh, after the BJP government came there, the effect of saffron color was visible. Earlier, when Mayawati’s government was there, there was more emphasis on blue at that time. So in the Samajwadi Party government, red-green had shown their effect. Now something similar is going to happen in Jharkhand as well. Here the government of CM Hemant Soren has ordered that the schools in the state should be painted in white and green colours. After which change has started to happen. Let us inform here that the color of the flag of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha is green and white.
On the orders of the government, the buildings of 35,000 government schools in the state are being painted in the colors of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha flag. After this order of the government, a controversy has arisen in the state. BJP has not liked this decision of the government at all. The BJP alleges that the government is ‘politicizing schools’, while Jharkhand Education Minister Jagarnath Mahato has called it the choice of the people. He has said that every person likes color, so this is being done.
Till now it was blue color
In a letter on May 13, the Jharkhand Education Project Council, which comes under the state’s education department, ordered a change in the color of school buildings and said that the toilets should be painted coconut, goose or angora white and frosted green or mehendi green. To be painted Doors and windows will have to be painted dark green. Presently the toilets are painted in blue colour.
Schools were painted pink during BJP rule
The color of school buildings was changed from yellow to pink during the BJP rule in 2002-03. In 2014, when JMM was in power, the color was changed to mauve. In which the doors and windows were painted golden brown. In 2018-19, during the BJP rule, the color of the buildings was not changed, but the toilets were painted blue.
It will cost crores to change the color
If sources are to be believed, the idea started with the construction of 400 model schools at present in different districts of Jharkhand. It has been decided to paint these schools with green and white colours. Then it has been decided to paint all 35,000 schools with the same colour. Crores of rupees will be spent on this.
