Tourists should include another historical heritage in their list to visit the country's capital. In fact, the renovation of 'Sheesh Mahal' built by the Mughal ruler Shah Jahan in Delhi's Shalimar Bagh has been completed. Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and Delhi Development Authority (DDA) have dedicated it to tourists. That is, this historical heritage has now been opened to tourists.
Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Deputy Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and MP Praveen Khandelwal were also present during the unveiling after the renovation of this historic heritage.

Officials said that work has been done in a planned manner for the conservation of Sheesh Mahal. Red sandstone of Rajasthan and Agra has been used in its renovation. Also, keeping in mind its strength, concrete, headlines, Lakhauri bricks have also been used. Along with this, traditional items like jaggery, belgiri and urad have also been used.

Many artisans of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh have done its renovation work. Entry in Sheesh Mahal will be free for tourists and common people coming here.
What is the history of Sheesh Mahal?
Sheesh Mahal was built by Shah Jahan in the memory of her Begum Ajjunnisa in the 17th century. Its beauty can be gauged by looking at the remaining part of the palace. Historians say that the British officer also used the Sheesh Mahal of Shalimar Bagh. It was used by British resident Sir David Octorloni as his solitude in summer.
What is the plan ahead?
Officials of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) said that DDA is working on the conservation of historical heritage present in Delhi. In the direction of this conservation, DDA Mehrauli Archaeological Park, St. James Church, Hazrat Nizamuddin Basti and Anangpal Tomar are working on securing and renovating the structures of the forest. After the renovation of these places, it will be opened to the common people.
