The country's biggest drug gang exposed
Narcotics Control Bureau has taken a major action and exposed the country's largest dark drug selling gang 'Ketamelon'. This operation was named 'Melon'. A large amount of drugs and cryptocurrency have been seized in this operation. The Kochi team of NCB caught 280 LSD blots out of three parcels on June 28 after continuous surveillance and investigation.
The next day, on June 29, 847 and LSD blots and 132 grams of ketamine were also recovered in the house of the accused. During the raid, a pen drive, hard disk, several crypto wallets and a hardware wallet were found, which had a cryptocurrency of about Rs 70 lakh. Apart from this, platforms like Binance have also found wallets of the accused, whose investigation is still going on.
The accused used to sell dark drugs of Level-4 for 2 years
Investigation revealed that this accused used to sell dark drugs of the highest level (Level-4) in India for the last two years. These drugs were called from abroad and sent to many big cities of India, such as Bangalore, Chennai, Bhopal, Patna, Delhi and Himachal-Uttarakhand areas. In the last 14 months, it sent around 600 parcels. The price of seized drugs in the market is said to be around Rs 35 lakh.
LSD is also known by people as “acid”, “blots”, or “stamps”. It is a kind of halucenogenic drug, which makes humans look and hear things differently. Earlier in 2023, NCB caught a large gang named “Zambada”, in which more than 29,000 LSD blots and cash of crores of rupees were received.

NCB said that this action is part of the mission to make the country free from drugs. Also, NCB has appealed to the public that if someone gets any information related to drugs, then immediately agreed- call the National Narcotics Helpline No. 1933. The name of the caller will be kept secret. At present, the accused and his partner have been arrested and further investigation is on.
