Samajwadi Party national president and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has played the bugle to further strengthen his political land in Purvanchal keeping in mind the 2027 assembly elections. His new camp house built on 72 biswa land in Anwarganj, Azamgarh is not only his personal hideout, but is also the focal point of the strategy to invite SP's grip on 117 assembly seats in Purvanchal. Azamgarh has been a stronghold of Samajwadi Party for a long time. In 2014, SP founder Mulayam Singh Yadav won the Lok Sabha elections from here. Akhilesh Yadav won in 2019. After this, BJP candidate Dinesh Lal Yadav won this seat in the year 2022. However, in 2024, the SP again won this seat and Akhilesh's cousin Dharmendra Yadav won.
SP considers Azamgarh as its traditional seat. Now Akhilesh's permanent hideout here is part of the party's strategy to deepen the roots in this region. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the SP performed brilliantly in Purvanchal and defeated the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in several seats. SP's dominance is already prevalent in districts like Azamgarh, Mau, Ghazipur, Santakbirnagar, Basti, Ballia and Ambedkarnagar.

Akhilesh's modern home is spread over 4,374 square meters (72 biswa) land in Anwarganj, Azamgarh. Its construction started in 2021 and now it is fully ready. Its most special thing is its strategic position. This housing is just 7 kilometers from the district headquarters and Manduri airport, which will easily reach the city and airport.

This building is a sample of modern and modular design. Office and meeting halls have been built on the ground floor, which are for strategic meetings with SP workers and leaders. There is a residential area on the first floor, which has been designed for Akhilesh's personal use. There is also enough open space in the building premises, where small meetings can be addressed.
