Now it is being discussed that the Government of India will provide for 5 lakh students across the country. Free Laptop Scheme is bringing. This discussion started with a message, in which it has been said that the Union Education Ministry will give laptops to 5 lakh students free of cost. Many questions are being raised about this message. Now PIB has answered these questions.
In fact, for the past few days, a text message is going viral on other social media platforms including Facebook, WhatsApp, in which the Government of India plans to distribute 5 lakh free laptops.

In that social media viral message it is written that- ‘The Union Ministry of Education is distributing free laptops to the students. The government has taken this decision to help the financially weak families and to provide online learning facility to the children. A link has also been given with this message. The Press Information Bureau (PIB) has told the truth of this viral message on its fact check Twitter handle @PIBFactCheck. It has been told in the tweet that the message being spread on social media is fake. No such scheme is being run by the Government of India.
