According to the police headquarters data, between January and May, the Tea Liquor Task Force seized 3 lakh 42 thousand 960 liters of country-made and 4 lakh 45 thousand 904 liters of foreign liquor in Bihar. A total of 88 thousand 864 liters of liquor, including the seized country and foreign, have been recovered. ALTF has also arrested 24 thousand 642 people in these five months as part of the special campaign against liquor.
LTF to make prohibition effective
Anti Liquor Task Force (ALTF) has been formed to make the prohibition effective in Bihar. There are 233 teams of ALTF working in this task force. These parts of these teams camped in different police station areas in different districts and raided and arrested.

After the death of people allegedly due to alcohol in the state last month, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has directed the officials to strictly follow the prohibition law. Since then, the police and the Prohibition Department are trying to curb the black business of liquor.
