The US Ambassador to Turkey Syrian special messenger Thomas Barak's visit to Syria was being speculated that he would soon establish a relationship with Israel. Trump also spoke of having a relationship with Israel even in a meeting with Syrian interim President Al-Shra during the Saudi visit.
Recently, Israeli officials have also indicated that Israel wants to have a relationship with Lebanon and Syria. Now that the US has removed all the selections from Syria, it is believed that Syria may also join the Abraham Accord. But the Syrian government news outlet claimed official sources that the dialogue about any generalization agreement between Damascus and Israel is immature.
The Syrian government channel Al-Ikhbariah quoted an official formula, saying that the comment on signing 'peace agreement' with Israel is considered prematurely and should not be seen as a change in final decision or policy.
Syria's condition to start talks with Israel
The channel emphasized that no discussion of potential dialogues can be held unless the Israeli -occupied areas first follow the dissolution agreement of 1974 and return from areas where they have moved forward since the fall of the previous regime on 8 December 2024.
Israel's Foreign Minister claimed
Last week, the Foreign Minister of Israel expressed his desire to include Syria in Abraham Alliance, while he did not say how long it would happen.
His remarks were made immediately after reports about the possible meeting between Syria's interim President Ahmed Al-Shra and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. According to reports, Trump can hold a meeting for the conversation of both the leaders.
