An employee of the Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan on Friday sought permission to come to work in a donkey car. Now it is being discussed everywhere.
The Finance Minister of the neighboring country Miftah Ismail on Thursday announced to increase the price of petrol by Rs 30 per liter. In this way, the price of petrol in Pakistan became Rs 209.86. It is worth noting here that just last week, the price of petrol in the country was increased by Rs 30. Information is also coming out that Pakistan has to take a loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). In such a situation, he also has to fulfill the strict conditions of the IMF. This is the reason why he is now increasing the prices to fulfill the conditions. Apart from petrol, electricity prices have also been increased. Electricity has increased by Rs 7.91 per unit.
Price of diesel-kerosene also increased
At the same time, along with petrol, the price of diesel has also been increased. The price of diesel has increased to Rs 204.15 per liter. Apart from this, ‘fire’ has also started in kerosene. The price of kerosene in the country has gone up to 181.94 per liter. On the other hand, the Pakistani Finance Minister said that due to these steps taken by the government, the general public will have to face inflation, but if this is not done then the country may go bankrupt. He said that due to the wrong decisions of the previous government, the country is moving towards bankruptcy. In such a situation, the government will have to take strict steps to stop this.
Employee asked for permission to use donkey-cart
On the other hand, an employee of the Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan, annoyed by the government’s decision to increase the price of petrol, on Friday sought permission to use a donkey-cart for commuting to work. In a letter to the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Raja Asif Iqbal has said that inflation has broken the back of not only the poor but also the middle class, Dawn reported. Iqbal has been serving in the CAA for 25 years and is now working at Islamabad International Airport. According to the news, he has sought permission to put a donkey-cart in the CAA parking lot.
The employee has said, in this inflation, the organization has stopped the transport facility. Using private transport has become impossible due to rising petrol prices. “Please allow me to bring your donkey-cart to the airport,” he said. However, CAA spokesperson Saifullah Khan said that fuel allowance is given to every employee. “Pick-and-drop service is provided to them (employees). A metro bus service is also available for the staff at the airport.
