In these 601 runs, the partnership of 464 runs was between twin brothers i.e. Mark Waugh and Steve Waugh, which was a world record at that time. Mark Waugh scored 229 runs in 343 balls. His innings included 35 fours and 1 six. Steve Waugh scored 216 runs in 339 balls. There were 24 fours in his innings. The amazing thing is that after scoring this double century, both the brothers remained not out.

Mark Waugh batted for 446 minutes in the match played in Perth. While Steve Waugh batted 407 minutes. Meaning both the brothers took more than 14 hours in total to add 464 runs for the 5th wicket in the team’s score.
