West Indies and Australia teams are playing the first Test match in Perth. The star player of the visiting team got injured on the third day of the match.
West Indies star batsman injured
It is raining runs in the first Test match being played between West Indies and Australia. First the Australian team made a mountain of 598 runs. In response, West Indies also made a strong start. Meanwhile, the team’s right-handed batsman Nkrumah Bonner became the victim of Australian bowler Cameron Green’s ball and had to return to the pavilion but not because of being dismissed but because of injury.
On the second day of the match i.e. on Thursday, Australia scored a big score of 598 runs with the help of double centuries from Steve Smith and Marnus Labushen. The opening pair of West Indies also tried to give a good start. Craig Brathwaite and Tennar Chanderpaul shared a 78-run partnership for the first wicket. After this Bonner came to bat, who could only face 47 balls.

Cameron Green was given the responsibility of doing the 34th over. Bonner was trying to duck the third ball of Green’s over. However, the ball hit the underside of his helmet. Physio came and did his connection test, after which Bonner got ready to play again.

However, after some time he started having problems. Even before the start of the 40th over, he retired hurt and returned to the pavilion. Till then he had scored 16 runs in 47 balls. In his place, Jermaine Blackwood landed on the field to bat.
Australia’s position strong in Perth Test
Australia declared their first innings at 598 for four on the second day of the first Test against the West Indies here on Thursday with double centuries from Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith. This was Labushen’s second double century and he was dismissed on the last ball before lunch after scoring 204 runs. Smith completed an unbeaten 200 and Australia declared after Travis Head was dismissed for 99, bowled by off-spinner Kraigg Brathwaite. This bowler was the most successful bowler of the visiting team, who took two wickets for 65 runs.
