Sanju Samson won the toss and chose to bat first because the pitch was a bit dry. Samson won the coin and said, ‘We will bat first. The pitch is looking good, it is a bit dry so will bat first. This is an already used pitch, so it will help our spinners in the second innings. There is no change in our team. Let us tell you that in the second qualifier held in Ahmedabad, the team batting later got a wonderful help. Rajasthan defeated RCB in a one-sided fashion and Jos Buttler scored a century. Later, the batsmen got the advantage of Dew, but in the title battle, Samson chose to bat first.

Hardik Pandya looked very happy with Sanju Samson’s decision. Pandya said, ‘We wanted to bowl first. It feels great to have a lot of people coming to support us at home. We have a chance to be a hero. Qualifying early has paid off. The players have rested. We will try to play our natural game.
