The England women’s cricket team made a great start to the T20I series and took a 1-0 lead in the five-match series after defeating the West Indies in the first match.

On the basis of Danny Wyatt’s excellent half-century innings, the England women’s cricket team defeated the West Indies by eight wickets in the first T20 match. Wyatt played an excellent half-century in this match and won the team. Apart from Wyatt, Lauren Bell also played an important role in England’s victory by bowling brilliantly. Bell took three wickets for 26 runs and restricted the hosts to 105 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs in the match played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.
England had decided to field after winning the toss in this match. He achieved the target by losing two wickets in 44 balls. With this victory, England has taken a 1-0 lead in the five-match T20I series.
Wyatt took charge
England were given a brisk start by Sophie Dunkley and Lauren Winfield Hill. Sophie was run out on a total score of 40. He scored 25 runs in 21 balls. He hit four fours in his innings. Sophie was run out by Campbell. Lauren was also run out by Campbell. He scored 15 runs in 14 balls. But after the fall of these two wickets, England did not get any further setback. Wyatt scored an unbeaten 59 off 34 balls to win the team. He hit seven fours and two sixes in his innings.

England had invited West Indies to bat. But the host team could not score big. Alia Allen was dismissed after scoring two runs. Captain Hailey Mathews could only score seven runs. When Bell took the wicket of Alia, Katherine Brunt showed Mathews the way to the pavilion. Kaysia Knight got out without opening the account. Knight dismissed Dzenba Joseph. He scored eight runs.
Rashada Williams was batting well but Wyatt ran her out. She was successful in scoring 23 runs off 26 balls. He hit two fours. Campbell fell victim to Bell after scoring 10 runs. Bell made Shabika Ghajnabi (13) his third victim. Chinelli Henry and Effie Fletcher remained unbeaten on 21 and eight respectively.
