The daughters of India did wonders on the previous day. India won the first Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup by defeating England by 7 wickets. Just a day after this historic success, 3 daughters of India achieved another special milestone. World champion team captain Shefali Verma, her opening partner Shweta Sehrawat and leg-spinner Parshvi Chopra were on Monday included in the ICC team of the tournament. India’s explosive batsman Shefali batted furiously while opening the innings in the final against England.
Apart from this, even as a captain, Shefali presented a view of her amazing strategy. She was the third most successful batsman in the tournament with 172 runs. The captain also tried his hand at bowling, taking 4 wickets in 7 matches and giving runs at an economy rate of just 5.04.
