Modi said, ‘Be it Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana or scholarship or any other scheme, we have eradicated corruption to directly benefit the people.’ The Prime Minister said, ‘We have transferred more than Rs 22 lakh crore to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries of various schemes through Direct Benefit Transfer. Modi said, ‘The government before 2014 had considered corruption as an essential part of administration, then instead of fighting corruption, the government had succumbed to it, then the country was watching that the money of the schemes reach the needy people. It was robbed earlier.
Borders now secured before 2014
He also said, ‘Now the borders of the country are also more secure than before 2014.’ Outlining the measures taken by his government to deal with the COVID-19 global pandemic, he said that about 200 crore doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines have been given in the country. He said at the rally that India exported anti-Covid-19 vaccines to various countries and the Baddi Industrial Unit of Himachal Pradesh played an important role in manufacturing those doses. The Prime Minister said, ‘Now India extends a hand of friendship to help others, not in compulsion, as was done by providing anti-Covid-19 vaccines to many countries.’
Interaction with beneficiaries of many schemes
Prime Minister Modi on Tuesday interacted online with the beneficiaries of various central schemes across the country and released Rs 21,000 crore as the 11th installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi. Prime Minister Modi reached Shimla on Tuesday morning on the occasion of the eighth anniversary of his government. After reaching the Mall Road in the capital of Himachal Pradesh, he left for Ridge Maidan along with Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur at around 11.30 am. There, the Prime Minister interacted with the beneficiaries of various central schemes across the country.
