Party’s interim president Sonia Gandhi has formed two more groups along with the formation of a task force to implement the ‘Nav Sankalp’ manifesto. The party has formed Political Affair Group and Central Planning Group.
After the Chintan Shivir held in Udaipur, Rajasthan, the Congress is seen in an active turn. The party’s target is 2024, for which the party has geared up. Party’s interim president Sonia Gandhi has constituted a task force to implement the ‘Nav Sankalp’ manifesto. On the third day of the camp, the party president had announced that a task force would be formed to implement internal reforms. Apart from this, the party has formed two more groups. The party has formed Political Affair Group and Central Planning Group. In these two groups, the party has also included two young faces of Rajasthan Congress. Sachin Pilot has been made a member of the Central Planning Group of Bharat Jago Yatra. So there Bhanwar Jitendra Singh has been made a member of the Political Affair Group.
Let us tell you that on the one hand, a team of 8 leaders has been formed for political matters and task force. At the same time, there are 9 people in the group formed at the central level. The party president had said that these reforms have been prepared in view of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

According to the list released by the All India Congress Committee, Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Ambika Soni, Digvijay Singh, Anand Sharma, KC Venugopal, Jitendra Singh will be in the Political Affairs Group. At the same time, the Task Force-2024 includes P Chidambaram, Mukul Wasnik, Jairam Ramesh, KC Venugopal, Ajay Maken, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Randeep Singh Surjewala, Sunil Kanugolu.
Along with this, there are Digvijay Singh, Sachin Pilot, Shashi Tharoor, Ravneet Singh Bittu, KG George, Jyoti Mani, Pradyut Bordoloi, Jitu Patwari and Salim Ahmed in the 9-member Central Planning Group for the India Jodo Yatra.
The party is preparing for 2024
The Congress had recently called a Chintan Shivir in Udaipur to discuss the party’s position and its future strategy. In this camp, Congress President Sonia Gandhi had talked about organizational change. Along with this, the formation of Political Affairs Group and Task Force was also announced to prepare for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Now only 21 leaders in G-23
The special thing is that Congress has included two leaders of G-23 faction Ghulam Nabi Azad and Shashi Tharoor along with Priyanka Gandhi in its National Plan. Let us tell you that there are now 21 members left in G-23. Two leaders from this group, Jitin Prasad and RPN Singh, have left the party. This faction has been demanding organizational change in the Congress for a long time.
