Mafia-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed, former MP of Prayagraj, was shot dead on late Saturday night. His brother Khalid Azim Ashraf has also died in this incident. According to the information related to Atiq Ahmed’s property, he has left behind a huge amount of gold and silver, its estimated value at present is more than Rs 1 crore.
This incident of murder of Atiq Ahmed and his brother took place when the local police was taking both of them for medical checkup. Atiq Ahmed was a Member of Parliament from 2004 to 2009 on a Samajwadi Party ticket. Although he contested the Lok Sabha elections in 2014 as well and during this time he gave official information about his assets.

According to the affidavit filed in the Election Commission, Atiq Ahmed had 1750 grams of gold jewelery in the year 2014. Then their price was Rs 52.50 lakh. According to the current rate of gold, the cost of this much gold has been Rs 1.07 crore.
Not only this, Atiq Ahmed’s property includes gold as well as 3.8 kg of silver. Then its estimated price was Rs 1.71 lakh. Today, the way silver prices are touching the sky, if the calculation is done according to that, then the price of silver included in Atiq Ahmed’s property is Rs 2.93 lakh.
