The people associated with this scheme are low earners, so the government runs the ESI scheme for their health care.
Who gets the benefit of the scheme
If an accident victim loses his job, treatment becomes difficult, then this scheme comes in handy. In this plan, the benefit of insurance coverage is given to the employee and his family. There is also maternity benefit in this. Under the scheme, treatment and medical care is provided, but if the employee dies during work, then his family is given pension. The ESI scheme is run by the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation. Under the ESI scheme, those companies, factories or factories come in which there are 10 or more employees. If ESI hospital refers an employee to a bigger hospital, then full help of treatment and medical care is given there too.
