He bowed down here and prayed for the good wishes of the people of the state. After this the Chief Minister turned to Jalandhar. Here CM Bhagwant Mann participated in the state level function organized on the birth anniversary of Baba Bhim Rao Ambedkar. Significantly, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had reached Bathinda late in the evening. He had a program to pay obeisance at Takht Sri Damdama Sahib on Thursday morning. So he took rest on Wednesday night and then on Thursday he reached Takht Sri Damdama Sahib. During this, a huge crowd of people was seen and the CM greeted the crowd with folded hands. Along with this, the Chief Minister also bowed before the Guru Granth Sahib. At the same time, he also addressed the journalists here. Anti-corruption number was issued last month
Earlier, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had made such an announcement in the month of March as well. He had said that he would make a big announcement on March 23, the martyrdom day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. After this, on the occasion of Martyr’s Day on 23 March, Bhagwant Mann released his personal WhatsApp number 9501 200 200, which was called Anti-Corruption Number. He said that people can complain about corruption by sending photos, audios, videos to him on this number. CM said that now if any officer asks for bribe from you, then you do not have to refuse him. Rather, put your hand in your pocket and record that whole incident on your mobile and send it to this number.
Time sought to fulfill promises
At the same time, there is pressure on CM Mann for not fulfilling the promises made in the Punjab elections. In view of this, he said on Monday that he needs some more time to resolve these issues. CM Mann said in a Facebook post, Punjabis, give some time. He has written, have some patience. There isn’t a single thing that I don’t remember. The Chief Minister appears to be speaking about his party’s election promises. He told the people of the state that there should be no hurry in making Punjab a vibrant Punjab.
