Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has informed that there will be scattered rain and hailstorms across India in the upcoming days. The reason for this change in weather is western disturbances, according to the IMD. They also predict that the rain and hailstorm activity will reach its peak on March 20th.
The department has already issued a yellow alert for several states citing rainfall and hailstorms amidst an orange alert for the northeastern states. IMD has also asked the farmers in most of the states to delay the harvesting process. The rainfall and cloudy weather will continue to take place in the country until 22nd March.

As per the latest weather update, Delhi is predicted to receive heavy rains today. The sky will continue to remain mostly cloudy and relief is unlikely. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 27 degrees and minimum will be 18 degrees.
IMD predicts the city and its suburbs to remain mostly clear today. The chances of rains are quite minimal while the day will mostly remain pleasant. For today, the maximum temperature will be 31 degrees and minimum will be 25 degrees.
Chennai is predicted to be lashed by moderate to heavy rains as well where the relief is unlikely as well. There will be continuous rains throughout the day. For today, the maximum temperature will be 30 degrees and minimum will be 26 degrees.

Heavy rains and thunderstorms are predicted for Kolkata. The rains will continue to downpour throughout the day and are forecast to continue in the upcoming week. For today, the maximum temperature will be 24 degrees and minimum will be 22 degrees.
