At least 22 towns and cities in these states recorded maximum temperatures above 44 degrees Celsius. Senior scientist of the department RK Jenamani said that the maximum temperature in Delhi-NCR and other parts of northwestern India will decrease by a few degrees over the weekend, but no major relief is likely till June 15.
The IMD said that due to the movement of moisture-rich east, there will be a lot of relief from the scorching heat from June 16. IMD official said that pre-monsoon activities are forecast to start in East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha from June 12, but in North Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and North Madhya Pradesh the temperature till June 15 is above normal. shall remain.
The Meteorological Department said that there is no possibility of any significant change in the maximum temperature in Northwest India in the next four days. The IMD said that between June 16 and June 22, the maximum temperature is likely to be below normal or near normal. He said, ‘During June 16-June 22, heatwave is not expected in any part of the country.’
Hot summer continues in Rajasthan
The scorching heat in Rajasthan continued on Saturday as well and Dholpur was the hottest place in the state where the maximum temperature was recorded at 46 degree Celsius. The Meteorological Department has forecast light rain in some areas of the state on Sunday, while the Bikaner division will remain in the grip of heat wave. According to the Meteorological Center, Alwar, Karauli, Churu and Ganganagar recorded maximum temperatures of 45.8, 45.5, 44.9 and 44.4 degrees Celsius respectively on Saturday, while the day temperature at other places remained below 44 degrees Celsius.
Heat will not bother in these states
