Vineet Sachan, in-charge of the blood bank said that after the outbreak of corona epidemic, the blood donation camps organized from time to time to collect blood in the district were completely stopped. On the other hand, e-raktkosh can be kept in the blood bank for a certain period of time by breaking it. Banda District Hospital Blood Bank has a storage capacity of 1000 units. In this blood bank where earlier about 100 units of blood were present at all times. At the same time, due to non-donation of blood, now only 5 units of blood are available. In the year 2019 before the Corona period, 1765 people donated blood. In the year 2020, the number of blood donors decreased to 1342. In the year 2021, 1419 people have donated blood. In the initial year, in 6 months, 1010 people have donated blood in the blood bank.

City residents donate blood several times a year
