Monitoring of mango tree is necessary at this time
According to Dr. SK Singh, fruit scientist of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central University, this time is very important for the farmers doing mango horticulture. At this time, farmers must necessarily monitor all the trees. According to Dr Singh, the mango tree itself determines how many fruits it can nurture. Similarly, he converts the mango sacks into fruits, but sometimes when the tree becomes very old, it loses its ability to determine. In such a situation, the falling of mango blossoms continues. For the prevention of which, the farmers should necessarily monitor the mango trees.
Irrigation is necessary to prevent the fall of mango kernels.
During monitoring, if the farmers feel that the blossom is still falling from the mango tree, then they should start light irrigation at this stage. Due to which moisture remains in the soil of the garden, but care should be taken that there is no water logging around the tree. If the mango tree is 10 years old or more than 10 years, then a mixture of 500-550 grams of diammonium phosphate, 850 grams of urea and 750 grams of murate of potash and 25 kg should be sprayed.
Do this work even before harvesting
Insecticides sprayed on fruits at the stage of kernel formation give satisfactory results. Spraying of Chlorpyriphos 2.5 ml water can also effectively destroy mango fruit borer. Last year heavy damage was seen due to fruit fly. The loss of mangoes worth crores of rupees was seen in Bihar. Due to heavy rainfall in the last two years, due to heavy moisture in the atmosphere, this year also there is a possibility of heavy damage due to fruit fly. For effective control of fruit fly, at least 2 months before harvesting of fruit, pheromone traps must be installed in the orchard at the rate of 15 hectares.
