Mithi Kranti Yojana: Mithi Kranti Yojana was introduced to double the income of Jharkhand farmers. In view of favorable conditions of honey production in Jharkhand, initiative was taken through the scheme to increase it in the state. A budget of Rs 100 crore was fixed to implement this scheme. Significantly, to promote honey production in the state, Beekeeping and Honey Mission was started from 2020 to 2023. Farmers can do beekeeping by taking advantage of the scheme, through which their income will increase.
Horticulture production will get a boost in the state
While implementing the scheme, it was also said that it is the responsibility of the state government to sell the honey produced by the farmers in the state. All those who are unemployed and who do not have any source of income are eligible to take all the benefits under the scheme. This scheme was implemented with the aim of promoting India’s self-reliant mission. With the help of the scheme, all the farmers related to beekeeping of the state will be implemented by the government through National Bee Board on scientific basis to fulfill the goal of sweet revolution.
Target to connect more than 12000 farmers
All the agricultural and non-agricultural families of the state can make a source of income through beekeeping. With its development, horticulture production will also get a boost in the state. With the help of the scheme, the government aims to set up centers like nucleus stock and breeders in the state. With the help of beekeeping, agricultural income is increasing. More than 12000 farmers will be linked to the Mithi Kranti Yojana in the state. The scheme was implemented in the state in 2019.
