Delhi is lagging
New Delhi lags behind the national average in three major subjects – Language, Mathematics and EVS. Whereas in 2017, the condition of the country’s capital was better than this. The state’s average percentile score for Class 3 students in the 2017 survey was 54 per cent, but in 2021 it dropped to 47 per cent. Which is 10 points less than the national average of 57%. Similarly, the state’s average score in language for Class 3 dropped from 58% to 52%. Due to which it fell 10 points behind the national average of 62%.

As per NAS-2021 the rank title of Punjab among all subjects for class 3,5 and 8 is. In class 10, it has secured the highest marks in Mathematics, Physics, Social Science and MIL and has been ranked third in English. Punjab performed better than the national average in every category and stood first in 11 out of 15 subjects. In this, students of 4 classes were evaluated. Punjab Education Department also conducted internal tests in NAS format while re-organizing the syllabus on NCERT pattern. Along with this, Punjab has also launched the Punjab Achievement Survey itself to help prepare students for the national survey and analyze the loss of studies during the pandemic.
