Delhi Kidney Racket has been exposed by targeting the homeless, poor youth sitting outside gurudwaras, temples and hospitals, who have come to Delhi in search of work from home in the greed of money. The gang used to pay Rs 1-3 lakh to these poor people for a kidney and the accused further sold it for Rs 20-25 lakh. Delhi Police in the case (Delhi Police) has arrested 10 people, including two doctors, in connection with the racket on Wednesday. Police said that this gang used to target those destitute people whose age is between 21 and 33.
Raghu, 21, left his home in Kutch, Gujarat and came to Delhi in April. After doing many tests in Delhi, the kidney was removed by operation in Sonepat.
Police said that one of the arrested accused, Latif, who is a field boy in a lab, had taken Raghu to Hauz Khas lab, where many tests of Raghu were done. A few days later, Raghu was sent to Gohana in Sonepat where he was operated upon. Raghu told that I was promised Rs 3 lakh. I met the person who got my kidney and asked for some more money as I needed to pay for my sister’s wedding and my mother’s treatment, he gave me another Rs 20,000.

A police team led by SHO Shivani Singh and inspectors Bharat Lal and Rohit had been working for weeks to arrest the accused. The team found that the accused mainly targeted the homeless, aged between 21 and 33, sitting outside gurudwaras, temples and hospitals. Police said that Rs 1-3 lakh was paid to the victims, while the accused used to get Rs 20-25 lakh from the recipient. Police said that the accused had also created several Facebook pages where they used to contact their potential targets and recipients and asked them to come to Delhi. In the same way, he had trapped about 15 people in his trap.
Police said investigation has revealed that one of the arrested, Sonu Rohilla (37), converted his two-storey house in Gohana into a ‘hospital’, where he allegedly visited despite not being a qualified doctor.
