Kisan Farm Pond Scheme: Kisan Farm Pond and Diggi Nirman Yojana has been run to help the farmers in Rajasthan facing water crisis, so that there is no problem of water for irrigation. Know, how much government help the farmers get in both the schemes.

Agriculture Minister Lalchand Kataria informed that this program is being conducted in Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Jaisalmer and Bikaner districts of the state under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana and Chief Minister Krishak Saathi Yojana. He told that in the financial year 2021-22, the budget announcement was made to build 5 thousand Diggys. Under this, Bikaner district was allotted 1150, IGNP (Indira Gandhi Nahar Project) Bikaner office in 1985, Hanumangarh 1250 and Sri Ganganagar 1270 physical and financial targets for construction of diggi were allotted.
How much help for construction of diggi
For the construction of a pucca diggi of minimum 4.00 lakh liters of water filling capacity and above, 75 percent of the cost per unit or maximum of Rs 3.00 lakh, whichever is less, is available. For this, the farmer concerned must have at least 0.5 hectares of irrigated agricultural land.
Why was the payment stopped?
Kataria said that under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana), the Central Government has issued guidelines for the payment of grants (single nodal account) to the farmers in the Diggi construction program through the SNA account. And mapping could not be done from PFMS portal. Due to which payment of subsidy to 1126 farmers by IGNP Bikaner office was not possible till March.
How much profit did the farmers get
The Agriculture Minister said that in the financial year 2021-22, a grant of Rs.75 crore has been paid to farmers by constructing 4147 against 5000 diggis and Rs.26 crore by constructing 4560 against 5 thousand in Farm Pond. But due to the constraints of the SNA account, the payment of some diggis and farm pond remained pending, for which instructions have been issued to all the districts to benefit the farmers on time by paying the balance amount.
