Officials informed that the fire broke out in a part of Deepak Nitrite Chemicals Production Plant (Fire at Dipak Nitrite, He said that seven workers have been admitted to the hospital and around 700 people living around the factory have been shifted to safer places. It was told that 10 fire tenders reached the spot to douse the fire. The District Magistrate of Vadodara said that the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
Vadodara District Magistrate RB Brar said, “Efforts are on to douse the horrific fire in which no casualty has been reported. Seven people who came in the grip of smoke emanating from the fire have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. As a precaution, about 700 people living in rural areas near the factory have been sent to safer places. A Vadodara fire brigade official said that when the fire started spreading in the factory in the evening, there was also a powerful explosion. He said that 10 fire tenders have reached the spot to douse the fire.
No information about how many people were inside the premises at the time of the blast.
The District Magistrate said that the cause of the fire is not yet known. A senior police officer from Vadodara city said, “We are yet to know how many people were inside the premises when the blast took place. Only after the fire is completely doused, the Fire and Rescue team will be able to trace the casualties only after sanitizing the premises.
25 workers were injured due to fire in Bharat Chemicals Company’s factory
Recently, a massive fire broke out in the Bharat Rasayan Company’s factory located at Dahej in Bharuch district. 25 workers were injured in the fire, out of which 10 were in critical condition. Officials had said that workers were injured in the fire and the explosion caused by it. Another 50 workers present in the premises at the time of the fire were evacuated. The official had said that due to chemicals, the operation to douse the fire took more time. The fire started after an explosion in the boiler installed in the plant and spread rapidly. Chemicals and pesticides are prepared in Bharat Chemicals Company. A lot of chemical was kept near the boiler itself. Due to this the fire increased and the workers did not even get a chance to rescue. It took 10 vehicles of the fire brigade to douse the fire and brought the fire under control after a struggle of about 3 hours.
