On the basis of weather forecast, farmers will make arrangements in advance from irrigation to sprinkling of fertilizers. Many times it happens that farmers do irrigation due to lack of information about rain. If they get the information in advance, they will not irrigate and their cost will come down.

M Ravichandran, Secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences, told Financial Express that by using this facility, farmers will be able to prepare for sprinkling of manure, irrigation and other agricultural works. He said that common people will also be able to take advantage of the numbers issued for the information of weather forecast. As soon as they call, a message will come, which will be in the local language. In this all the weather related information will be available.
M Ravichandran said that there are a large number of farmers who do not have a smartphone, through which they can get information about the weather forecast.
