Uttarakhand (UttarakhandElderly Soni Devi, who was rendered homeless in the Joshimath disaster, will get her new home tomorrow. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will hand over the keys of this house made by Graphic Era to him at a function organized in Gopeshwar on June 20. In February 2021, there was a severe flood in Raini village of Joshimath due to the breaking of glacier. In this flood, along with the loss of public and money on a large scale, the house of the elderly Soni Devi of Raini village was also demolished.
Dr. Kamal Ghanshala, Chairman, Graphic Era Group of Institutions, had decided to build a house in the nearby safe area for Soni Devi, who was homeless in Raini. He started the assistance work by sending a team of experts of Graphic Era under the direction of Director Infrastructure Dr. Subhash Gupta to Raini village. With the help of Pargandhikari Joshimath Kumkum Joshi and the district administration, the land was selected for the house of the elderly.
Soni Devi will get a new house
After completing all the formalities, a new house has been constructed for Soni Devi in Merag village near Joshimath. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given approval to hand over the keys of this new house to Soni Devi at a program to be held in Gopeshwar on June 20. Director General of Graphic Era Dr. Sanjay Jasola and Director (Infra.) Dr. Subhash Gupta have left for Gopeshwar for this. A house for the elderly has been built in Merag village with the help of earthquake resistant technology.

Soni Devi is very excited about getting a new house. He said that if there are people like Dr. Kamal Ghanshala to wipe away the tears, then a man can forget how much pain he was in. A large number of losses were caused in the Joshimath disaster. Soni Devi had become homeless in this disaster. Now they are going to get their new home. Tomorrow CM Pushkar Dhami will hand over the keys of her new house to Soni Devi. These elders are very happy about this. The 520 MW Tapovan Vishnugad Hydroelectric Project was destroyed in the disaster in Joshimath. Many people died in this disaster. Also a large number of houses were damaged. Soni Devi’s house was also grounded in this disaster.
