23 institutes got recognition for training drone pilots
Recently, Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia had said that in the last five months, aviation regulator DGCA has recognized 23 institutes for training drone pilots. He also told that the fee for ‘Drone Pilot Training Course’ will be reduced in the next three-four months. Scindia said that the number of institutes offering this course is going to increase, due to which the training fee will come down.
Let us inform that during a conversation with Scindia through video conference, a farmer had raised the issue of ‘high fee’ for ‘drone pilot training course’. Scindia said that the country definitely needs more drone pilots and that is why their certification process has become completely decentralised. “Now only the DGCA will certify the drone schools, and the concerned drone schools will give certificates to the pilots,” he said.
