Beating Retreat 2023: Today, the Beating Retreat ceremony will take place, officially bringing the Republic Day celebrations to a finish. There will be music inspired by Indian classical music as well as a breathtaking drone display. Ahead of the celebration at Vijay Chowk, the Delhi Police has also released a traffic alert for a number of roads.

Know which routes to avoid on Beating Retreat 2023?
This past Friday was India’s 74th Republic Day. President Droupadi Murmu, who serves as the armed forces’ supreme commander, will attend the Beating Retreat event. PM Narendra Modi and Defence minister Rajnath Singh will be present at the event too.
For the Beating Retreat ritual, which would take place at Vijay Chowk in this city, officials stated on Saturday that the Delhi Police has prepared sophisticated traffic arrangements. According to the advise, there will be no through traffic on Vijay Chowk from 2 pm to 9.30 pm on Sunday.
On Rafi Marg, past Dara Shikoh roundabout, Krishna Menon Marg roundabout, and Sunehri Masjid towards Vijay Chowk, there will be limitations on the passage of vehicles between Sunehri Masjid roundabout and Krishi Bhawan roundabout. Between Vijay Chowk and “C” hexagon, Kartavyapath will have limited traffic, according to the advice.
Today, 3,500 domestic drones will perform the “biggest drone show” in the nation above Raisina Hill. The defence ministry stated in a statement that “the majestic drone show would light up the twilight sky over the Raisina Hill, weaving numerous shapes of national figures, and events via smooth synchronisation.”

Buses will be diverted on Beating Retreat Ceremony 2023
The alert indicated that other routes like as Ring Road, Ridge Road, Aurobindo Marg, Madarsa “T” Point, Lodhi Road, Sunramanian Bharti Marg, Safdarjung Road, Kamal Ataturk Marg, Rani Jhansi Road, Minto Road, etc. are suggested for commuters.
It should be mentioned that on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 9.30 p.m., the buses will be diverted from their regular routes in order to accommodate the cars of invitees and spectators and to prevent traffic congestion on the roads near the ceremony’s locations and India Gate.
The drivers are urged to obey traffic laws, adhere to traffic officials’ instructions, and remain informed by following the traffic police on social media, Twitter, and by calling their hotline, it was noted. For transit in the area of New Delhi, commuters have been encouraged to use the metro services to the fullest. The advise said that parking will be allowed for anyone arriving to watch Vijay Chowk’s illumination between Rafi Marg and “C” Hexagon (after 8 pm).
