Talking about the film in a recent interview, Shahrukh Khan said that the story of Danki is based on those people who want to return to their homes. Next, he said that my film will be called Donkey in English. But the way a part of India pronounces this word is Dunki. Punjabis call it Dunki…’
Danki is full of comedy-emotion
Talking further about the details of the film, Shah Rukh said, “Main aapko film kare kitna bataoon hmmm, it is a film directed by one of the most brilliant filmmakers of our country, Raju Hirani. It has been written by a brilliant writer Abhijit Joshi. This is the story of those people who want to come back home when they get a call. This is a comedy film. Raj Kumar Hirani’s movies are always a mix of comedy and lots of feelings about the country. So, this is a big journey for me.
Shahrukh will do action films for the next 10 years
The actor also told that ‘Danki passes through different regions of the world and finally comes back to India. Perhaps that is why this film is made on all those people who want to return home. He also said that, ‘I am 57 years old, so I thought, for the next 10 years, I will keep doing action films.’ Apart from this, he also has two films Pathan and Jawan which will be released only next year. ‘Pathan’ will hit the theaters on January 25, ‘Jawan’ January 2023 and ‘Danki’ December 2023.
