Actor Ashutosh Kulkarni is going to be seen playing the role of Krishna Bihari Vajpayee, father of former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee, in the serial ‘Atal’ which will go on air on &TV today i.e. on 5th December. In a special conversation with NewsNCR Hindi Digital, Ashutosh Kulkarni, who made a comeback on Hindi television after many years, said that it is my good fortune that I am playing the role of Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji’s father. But our serial does not have any political agenda, we just want to present an inspirational story to our viewers.
Ashutosh further said, “Playing the character of Krishna Bihari Vajpayee is a responsible job, he was the father of the former Prime Minister of India and people watch such shows with great expectations. For this character, I have learned ‘certified’ Hindi, because Atal Bihari Vajpayee and his family were an educated family. In his house, pure Hindi was not spoken with any dialect. That’s why I learned pure Hindi. Before doing this show, I also read some books written on Atal Bihari Vajpayee, along with that I also read his poems. Before being a politician, he was a good person and the audience will get to see his loving relationship with his father in this serial.”
