Avika Gaur has told that when she was about to go to Cannes, a famous designer refused to give her a dress. Avika also praised Hina Khan for talking about the discriminatory treatment meted out to TV actresses. He said that when Hina told that the designer did not give her clothes because she is a TV actress, I felt thankful that this did not happen only to me.

Avika Gaur told, “When I was going to Cannes Film Festival, I was the youngest Indian to go there, I was going there for the second time. This was a big deal. But for some reason the designer didn’t see it that way. However, I had made arrangements for something better than what he was going to give me. I was happy. Then I wore a gown by a local designer, which was well received.”

You might not know that even though Avika Gaur is making her Bollywood debut now, she has already started her career in South. Avika made her debut in South films with the Telugu film Uyyala Jampala. Avika is surprised that why people do not talk about nepotism there.
Avika Gaur said, “In the Telugu industry, how can people not see this right in front of them. Only star power works in South. There is a lot of nepotism there. Things are the same there (as they are in Bollywood). Just that audience is not seeing in the same way as the audience here is seeing. This discrimination has been made for Hindi films that whatever you make, we will judge it first.
