Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued guidelines for practical exams, internal assessment and projects of class 10th and 12th for the academic session 2022-23. According to the official notification, CBSE Board Practical Exam 2022-23 will start from January 1. In the guidelines, CBSE has instructed the students to ensure that the correct subject information is given by the schools in the list of forwarded candidates (LOC).
The board has asked the students to keep proper knowledge of the syllabus and the subjects for which practical exams will be conducted. Students have to be present in the practical exam on time, as they will not be given a chance to appear for the practical exam again. Releasing the guidelines for the regional offices, the CBSE board directed that the schools will have to ensure that the rules for conducting practical exams are communicated to the schools as soon as possible.
Timely preparation for the exam
The Regional Office has also been requested to ensure that all the schools complete their practical exams and upload the results on time. As per the guidelines, the schools have been advised to ensure that the syllabus for the practical exam is completed well in advance. The board has said that the schools will have to complete the work like preparing and stocking the lab and selecting the teachers who will take the test in time. Schools will also have to ensure that all students and teachers are aware of the practical exam and date sheet.
Information given about marks
As per the guidelines, the board has decided to help the schools in conducting the exams smoothly. It is generally seen that schools are found making mistakes while uploading marks in practical and internal assessment exams. This is the reason that CBSE has shared the details of subject marks breakup and practical exam of 10th and 12th in this regard.
In this, information like subject code, subject name, how many marks are there for theory exam, maximum marks for practical exam, maximum marks for project assessment, maximum marks for internal assessment have been given.
