IIT Mandi Campus Placement 2023: IIT Mandi has registered an increase in placements in the last five years. The average salary of the institute for Mechanical Engineering department has increased from 7.56 LPA in 2018 to 13.47 LPA in 2022.

IIT Mandi Campus Placement 2023: Recently, the campus placement of the first phase of 2022-23 was concluded in IIT Mandi. In which a total of 249 students have got placement so far. Of these, 70 were pre-placement offers, with an average salary of 25.23 lakhs per annum. More than 85 companies participated in this placement process and so far 140 national and international companies have registered with the college.
At the same time, IIT Mandi has received 19 international offers so far. Some of the major companies participating in this include Uber, Amazon, Walmart, Oracle etc.
50% increase in placement offers
According to local media reports, a total of 249 students have been placed in IIT Mandi’s first phase of placements this year, out of which 70 were given pre-placement offers, with an average salary of 25.23 LPA. There has been a 50 percent increase in job offers and 25 percent increase in PPOs as compared to last year.
Some of the major companies participating in this year’s campus placements are Indeed, Flipkart, Microsoft, Tata 1MG, Trilogy, Cashfree, Adobe, Paytm, Rakuten, Zomato, Jaguar Land Rover, Maruti Suzuki, Mercedes Benz, etc.
IIT Mandi had recorded 93.4 percent placement during B.Tech placement 2022. During IIT Mandi Placement 2022, out of 167 eligible and registered students, a total of 156 students got placed. Apart from this, total 200 job offers were received during IIT Mandi B.Tech Placement 2022.

A total of 27 students appeared for the Mechanical Engineering department’s placements in 2018, out of which 16 students were placed with an average salary of Rs 7.56 lakh per annum. And in 2019, it increased to Rs 8.07 lakh per annum, in which 15 out of 25 students got placed. In 2020, once again the average salary increased to 10 lakhs per annum, when 18 out of 27 students got placed.
However, the average salary has come down to Rs 8.01 lakh per annum in 2021 and the number of placed students has also dropped to 14 out of 24. However, the institute made a good recovery in 2022 and out of 24 students, 16 got placed. The average salary became Rs 13.47 lakh per annum.
So many got jobs in three years
IIT Mandi has successfully placed many students in the last three years – 2020, 2021 and 2022. In 2021-22, there were 191 eligible students, 167 students enrolled for placements and 156 students got placed. Whereas in 2020-21, there were 146 eligible students, 126 students enrolled for placements and 102 students were placed. In 2019-20, out of 119 students enrolled for placements, a total of 101 students got placed.
