Prof Abdul Qayoom Ansari of Jamia Millia Islamia told that the candidates selected for PM Research Fellowship will get Rs 10 lakh.

It is a matter of great pride for Jamia Millia Islamia, located in the capital Delhi, that this year 12 research scholars of the university have been selected for PM Research Fellowship ie PMRF 2022. Researchers will get fellowship under the Lateral Entry Scheme of the May 2022 campaign. Jamia University has significantly improved its past performance as 6 Scholars were selected for PMRF in 2021 under Lateral Entry Scheme of December 2020 drive. At the same time, the list of selected students for the May 2022 campaign has also been released.
In the year 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has implemented the Prime Minister Research Fellowship Scheme to improve the research work of institutions providing higher education. In this, many facilities are given to the research scholars along with the amount. Due to this scheme, 12 students of Jamia have been selected.

10 lakh rupees will be available in PMRF
PM Research Fellowship Coordinator Prof Abdul Qayoom Ansari said that these researchers will get a fellowship of Rs 70,000 for the first two years, Rs 75,000 for the third year, Rs 80,000 for the fourth and fifth year. Apart from this, each fellow under PMRF will also get a research grant of Rs 2 lakh per year i.e. a total of Rs 10 lakh for five years.
