Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Passenger Vehicles, Tata Motors, said in a statement that the journey from every 10 lakh to the next figure is full of ups and downs.
The company said that despite the Kovid epidemic and the crisis of semiconductor shortage affecting the entire world’s vehicle industry, it has achieved the feat of reaching 5 million units from 4 million cars within three years.
Tata Motors: Celebrating 50 lakh passenger vehicle production
- Tata Motors will launch a nationwide campaign to celebrate the milestone of producing 50 lakh passenger vehicles with its customers and employees.
- The company said that all its manufacturing units and regional offices will be celebrating for a month.
- The company’s total sales in February have increased by almost 3 percent year-on-year to 79,705 units. At the end of last year, Tata Motors had delivered 50,000 electric cars. There has been an increase in EV sales in India.
- To reduce carbon emissions and reduce fuel imports, the central government has introduced some measures to promote EVs. Many state governments are also giving subsidy to the people on the purchase of electric vehicles.
- Tata Motors sells 3 electric cars, Tiago EV, Tigor EV and Nexon EV.
- Earlier this year, the company had cut the price of its Nexon EV. Tata Motors Company has cut the price of all models of its Prime and Max variants by up to Rs 85,000.
- The starting price of Nexon EV Prime has been reduced to Rs 14.49 lakh and that of Nexon EV Max has been reduced to Rs 16.49 lakh.
