New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) on Saturday reported a progress of 135% in its home passenger car gross sales to 148,380 models in September 2022. The gross sales had been at 63,111 models in September 2021.
“The shortage of electronic components had a minor impact on the production of vehicles, mainly in domestic models. The company took all possible measures to minimize the impact,” the corporate stated in a press release.
Total home gross sales of the corporate, together with home passenger automobiles, LCVs and to different OEMs, stood at 154,903 models in September this yr, as towards 68,815 models in the identical month final yr.
Total exports in the course of the month additionally grew to 21,403 models as in comparison with 17,565 models within the corresponding interval of final yr.
Overall gross sales volumes in September 2022 stood at 176,306 models as in comparison with 86,380 models in September final yr.
As gross sales quantity in September 2021 was adversely impacted resulting from scarcity of digital parts, a year-on-year comparability is probably not significant, the corporate stated.
