Rajasthan Agriculture Minister Kirori Lal Meena was on Wednesday (2 July) visit Sirohi. At the Circuit House, BJP officials welcomed Minister Meena. During this time, along with the officials, the Minister reached the Rico area of Sarupganj where action was conducted in three factories making biodiesel. During this time, a large quantity of fake biodiesel was found in the unit premises.
First of all, a biodiesel factory called Kotiyark Industries Private Limited in Sarupganj was suddenly raided. In this action, a large stock of fake biodiesel and serious irregularities related to tax evasion have been revealed. A team of officials raided the three factories of the area. At the same time, inspected the factory premises on the spot and instructed the officers to seize the necessary documents and detailed investigation. The factory was manufacturing biodiesel without proper license and quality certification, which was being sold in the market as diesel.
'This is not just a factory case…'
Minister Meena, while talking to the media, said that a person associated with the factory alone has scammed Rs 307 crore and about 12 more institutions can join this entire network. He also said that it can be not only a case of a factory, but can be a link to a large racket running in the entire state.
Environmental standards ignored in factory
During the raid, it was also revealed that environmental standards in the factory were also being completely ignored. Selling was being done without giving information about tax, due to which the government revenue was being damaged. At the same time, two other biodiesel units of Swaroopganj were also raided where investigation is being done. Fake diesel and huge irregularities have also been found in these units.
At the same time, the Department of Industries, Commercial Tax Department and Pollution Control Board have been ordered to jointly investigate. In the coming days, other similar suspicious factories will also be raided. On the other hand, this sudden action has caused a stir.
