But it seems that the effect of WPL is still on some people and one of them is former Indian coach Ravi Shastri, who made such a mistake in the very first match of IPL, which surprised everyone a bit.
The first match of the league was about to start on Friday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, when Ravi Shastri made this mistake. Shastri made a mistake in the name of Gujarat
Before the coin of the toss bounced, Shastri introduced both the teams as a formality and here he made a mess. Shastri got the name of defending champion and home team Gujarat wrong. Shastri called Hardik’s team Gujarat Giants instead of Gujarat Titans.
Actually Gujarat Giants is the team of WPL, which was earlier a part of the recently concluded first season. As soon as Shastri took the name of Gujarat Giants, Hardik Pandya started laughing on the other side.
