Hazlewood out of the team
Australia has declared its team for the five -match T20I series starting on July 21 against the West Indies. Mitchell Marsh has been made the captain of the Australia team in place of Pat Cummins. Pat Cummins and fast bowler Josh Hazlewood have been rested for this series. Josh Hazlewood performed brilliantly for RCB in IPL 2025 and played an important role in making the team champion.
Hazlewood played 12 matches in IPL 2025. During this, he took 22 wickets. Apart from this, he has played 52 T20I matches. In which he has taken 67 wickets. Hazelwood is currently busy playing Test cricket against West Indies. He has taken 11 wickets in the last two Tests.
Marsh will be captained instead of Pat Cummins
Pat Cummins has been rested for the T20 series against the West Indies. All -rounder Mitchell Marsh has been made the captain of the team in place of Cummins. Cummins has also withdrawn his name for the White Ball Series against South Africa. They want to keep themselves fully fit for the Ashes 2025-26 and that is why he has taken this important decision.
